The staff would like to thank all the parents who attended Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences. We hope you found them helpful. Our grades will be sent out soon.
We will have our first student who will meet the graduation requirements and ring their bells on Monday, October 5, 2015. We congratulate the student for being the first to complete their requirements. We know we will have many more throughout the year.
Parents, remember, a student who misses 10 days or more during the school year is 20 percent less likely to graduate from high school and 25 percent less likely to ever enroll in college. This is from the Attendance Works website.
The mission of our school is to create and maintain an environment that stresses the value of relationships and a rigorous curriculum, relevant to the skills needed for college or career.
The vision of Meridian is to empower students to become productive citizens.
Our Core Values
The core values guiding Meridian staff, students and parents are Respect and Responsibility.
Our Guidelines for Success
Meridian's Guidelines for Success for our students is PRIDE. Our student activities during the course of the school year will feature our Guidelines for Success. We believe if you apply these guidelines, you will meet your goal to graduate.
|Responsibility||The ability or aurthority to act on one's own, without supervision.|
|Integrity||Adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honest.|
|Dedication||Devoted wholly and earnestly.|
|Education||Acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life.|
Welcome to Meridian! We are "The Little School with a BIG Heart!" The menu on the left will direct you to all the important information you will need about what is going on at our school. Our staff have their own staff and classroom pages to use those pages as a communications tool with you, our students, parents, and potential students!
At Meridian, our students participate in many campaigns to help our community. Meridian students have helped with the district's Turkey Drive during November, helping a family during the holidays, participating in blood drives through the Red Cross during both semesters, the Salvation Army food drive, and having a Schooner Mate for the just completed River Festival. There are many other activities our students participate to help our community. It is a way Meridian "Pays It Forward" to help others in the community.
We are proud of our seniors for meeting their graduation requirements and ringing the school bells three times to signal the end of their secondary education. We wish them well in their future endeavors of post-secondary education, trade school, military service, or entering the work force.
Should you have any questions or suggestions, please email our website administrator David Sherrer.
